Thrill of the Road: Episode 3
December 10th, 2007 Posted in EpisodeEpisode 3 leads us on the trail of traditional values. First we reach by Colonial Williamsburg, Virgina to learn about the start of the United States. We aimlessly travel and land ourselves in Washington, D.C., and then on to the plain and simple lifestyles of the Amish. We arrive in the heartland of America’s Amish Country – Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Tiff and I both loved it, and we’re hooked. I was almost late to work this morning because I wouldn’t leave without finishing the download and transferring it to my iPhone for the train ride.
You’ve gotten better with each episode, and you’re really finding and refining your style. Keep up the great work!

This is the best episode yet.
Please keep making more. I wish you had done more in Pennsylvania Dutch county. There is a fantastically bad theme park there called Dutch Wonderland, a lot of Amish people, and really delicious food. Also I met Weird Al there so you never know what could happen in such a mysterious place.
You could also explore the old asylums on Long Island. Not very far, but good for a day of urban exploration adventure.
Anyway, I love the show!

Wow.
This has actually driven (no pun intended?) me to take a road trip this weekend with whosoever I can round up. I had forgotten how wonderful it is to get into a car and just drive nowhere and just see what’s out there.
It seems that you guys are based in the New York/New Jersey area, why not head to Vermont or New Hampshire for all the political stuff or the skiing or the delicious syrups?

Great episode guys, another sweet installment with great driving scenes and unique locations. I have to say though it was a bit scattered compared to previous ep’s (#2 is still my favorite), could’ve focused more on the places that had more to offer (night-driving the streets of DC > 3 seconds of amish paradise, for example)
Otherwise fantastic work, keep ‘em coming!
Next trip? perhaps sneaking Tom across the canadian border?

Thanks for all the kind remarks folks.
@Jeff, we’ll do what we can to improve things in the future. You have our word.
@Marco, that’s hilarious. I’m literally laughing right now.
@Tiff, those suggestions are awesome. We wanted to see the Dutch country, but we couldn’t find it in time. I’m sure it’ll come at some point in the future.
@lacrimony - where did you (or will you) be going? You should let us know, we always love to hear about stories involving travel.
