As you can tell, there have been zero updates since the last post. Apologies for those of you looking for more Thrill of the Road.

We will be back, however, in the Spring. At the moment, we are currently undergoing some time constraints and personal conflicts. Once things are worked out, we will be back with Season 2. Rest assured, season 2 will be packed with more hilarity, beautiful scenery, and of course, all the thrills you can imagine. Please allow us to do what we need to do… so we can continue to bring you what will definitely be a great show.

Be back with more news as it develops, hang in there.

None of that makes any sense… and coincidentally, neither does the time we’ve taken off from delivering the next episode.

Holy crap! What’s this!? It’s episode 2 point 5. A special edition episode filmed in California. In this episode, we head south from the Los Angeles area, to the San Diego area. We stumble upon some scorched hillsides, race a train, discover some expensive cars, and gaze at the coastal highway of beautiful California.

Special guest host Kenny Herman takes Tom Albrecht’s place in this Californian special.

Thrill of the Road: Episode 3

Episode 3 leads us on the trail of traditional values. First we reach by Colonial Williamsburg, Virgina to learn about the start of the United States. We aimlessly travel and land ourselves in Washington, D.C., and then on to the plain and simple lifestyles of the Amish. We arrive in the heartland of America’s Amish Country – Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Thrill of the Road: Episode 3

Episode 3 has been a test on our ability to bring you a show each month. Whether or not the result is something you expected, we learned a lot from this episode, and have some new ideas to make the next one better.

As always, we’re continually thinking about the next step. If you follow in that path, then please give us your thoughts.

While out in California for work, a few of us had a little bit of time to spare… we had a car, and a camera, and a few moments of driving we managed to fit in.

To keep everyone entertained, we filmed a short version titled 2.5, it should be ready later this week, just in time for your Thanksgiving festivities. This is a mini-episode, and will not live up to a full show, but it’s just as fun!

While talking of episodes, we will be filming Episode 3 this weekend. It may become a two part episode if we gather enough content on our journey. We decided not to let you pick our choices this time, because we have some awesome directions, even though they’re very vague. More to come later this week

It’s About Episode 3… Hint Hint.

While brainstorming for episode 3, we have come up with another awesome idea. We can’t reveal the secret — however, it does involve history, food, and hopefully a whole lot of fun.

We will be very busy for the next 2 weeks due to SEMA and the LA Auto show, and other miscellaneous job related events.

It will be a few weeks before we can film Episode 3

During this hiatus, we urge all of you to watch Episodes 1 and 2 again, and give us any suggestions you can think of.

Whether you like seeing more of us on camera, more JF, Tom, or even Ian. Whether it’s comedic drawn out action sequences or more douchebaggery. We’ll change what we can, just for you. (Within reason of course)

At the moment, here are some suggestions we’ve heard numerous times, and we’re going to implement them for Ep. 3.

Steadier in-car camera work
More Ian on camera
More humor/funny conversation
Show times and locations more frequently
Find more interviews and “cool” things
Can you visit me? Can I be part of the show?*

*For those of you who want us to visit you or somehow participate, give us your location, email address, and availability. If we’re in the area, we may stop and include in the episode.

We have spent a lot of money on this show so far. It’s not cheap to drive like this, the time spent filming, editing, etc, costs a lot.

Here it is, the second episode of TOTR.
(Our new codename. Like it? Yeah, I thought so.)

Also! (Yes, there is an also… two actually) One, you can now subscribe to us on iTunes! What does that mean? You can download our shows for your iPod, iPhone, or whatever other digital player you have. (Link coming soon)

Two, we now have our own flash player. Maybe it will help with bandwidth for the third party guys. I’m looking at you Vimeo, I know this HD stuff costs a ton. (Thanks Mr. Karp for yelling at me) Anyhow, try it out and let us know how it feels.

As promised, we’ve been working day and night to get episode 2 done. (And by day and night, we mean once or twice.)

A few people have been lucky enough to see a pre-screening, and they have agreed that episode 2 is far better than episode 1. We loved hearing that, however we still want opinions from all of you. So, please comment with positive or negative thoughts.

We want to know everything you’re thinking so we can make this as entertaining as possible.
